Given that a core part of my work is helping my clients enunciate their purpose, it is important that I should have enunciated my own purpose. My purpose, who I am, and what I bring to my work take the form of my work charter. My work charter gives my work focus. It clearly lays out why Iā€™m doing what I do, what of me I will bring to my work, and what you, my stakeholder, can expect of me. Here is my charter:

1.   What is my purpose as a coach and facilitator?

  • To create and hold a safe space for my participants so that they can do the work they choose to do and be who they want to be.

2.   To completely fulfil this purpose, what will I always bring to my work?

  • My complete presence

  • My authentic self

  • An orientation of curiosity and wonder

  • A mindset around the participant(s) being complete and powerful

3.   What values drive the way I live and work ?

  • Authenticity

  • Meaning and purposefulness

  • Giving and service

4.   What can participants and sponsors expect from me in our work together?

  • Authentic Partnership

  • Honest and Straight Conversations

  • Truthfulness and transparency

  • Delivering on the work we partner on, even if that sometimes means going beyond the brief or commercial contract
